OLD SMITH 90-009 Black with 316L Stainless Steel Beads of Rice Bracelet

The OLD SMITH 90-009 was designed based on the wristwatch used by the British Army during World War II, known as the "Dirty Dozen." It uses the Japanese "Cal.82s5" movement from CITIZEN MIYOTA, faithfully reproducing the design of the period.

The watch has a 35mm case, slightly smaller than what is popular these days; however, it faithfully recreates the original size and is a size that works on wrists of all sizes.

The hands feature a satin finish with a matte texture. The minute hand has a design where the tip is curved to match the shape of the crystal. The hour and minute hands are made with Swiss-made Super-LumiNova®. When exposed to light, they emit a strong luminescence in the dark.

The dial of this model has a two-layer structure. The first layer has a fine matte, textured finish, recreating the atmosphere of a robust military watch. The outer scale and Arabic numerals on the outer edge of the dial are applied on top of the first layer, creating a three-dimensional design. Despite its small size, the overall design has a strong presence.

What a splendid visit to The Watch Garage in Porto. I was greeted by Andre and so happily got to hear about his passion for his collection of watches. I am extremely happy with the Blue Dial Datejust as I have been looking for a color dial all throughout Portugal during my two weeks here. The room is carefully curated with artworks of motorsports, another passion of Andre. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

"Wow! This is such a cool place to check out! So many watches, brands, and history all in one place. This is a definite place you want to stop at on your trip, because it takes you back in time and fits in with the charm of Porto that you just soak in where you are. André was very helpful and informative. My husband picked out this gorgeous watch and had a great experience talking with the owner."
