This week we had some guests and were honored by the presence of Asier Mateo at Watch Garage to personally present the brand's new model.

For those who don't know it yet, Lebond is a watch brand based in Barcelona whose watches are designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects, the highest global award for architecture. They are part of the permanent exhibition at Watch Garage, and the brand's first two watches are, coincidentally, designed by two of Portugal's most renowned architects and winners of the aforementioned prize, Eduardo Souto de Moura and Siza Vieira.

This third model is launched in 2026, the year that marks the centenary of the death of one of the most influential figures in architectural history, Antoni Gaudí, and it was, in fact, one of his projects that inspired Asier Mateo to design this new model.
The Hotel Attraction project was designed by Gaudí in 1908 and would have forever changed the New York skyline if it had been built; at the time, it would also have been the tallest building in the world. For various reasons, the project did not proceed, and the Hotel Attraction was never built.

Asier Mateo, an architect himself, took the sketches of that project and designed a watch with very clean lines, with many rounded surfaces, managing to maintain Lebond's DNA clearly expressed in the details and quality of finishes.

With a size of 38mm, in a grade 5 titanium case, the Lebond Attraction is powered by an ETA 2892-A2 that operates at a frequency of 28,800 bph and has an excellent finish with blue screws, Geneva stripes, and perlage. Much attention to detail, including the deployant clasp, also entirely constructed from grade 5 titanium.

In person, the dial takes on a three-dimensional appearance with several circles at different levels that interact with the hands, with the last circle, despite not serving as a second counter as it has no markings, allowing us to perceive that the watch is working in a very subtle way, as only the brushing of this piece allows us to notice the movement. The Attraction maintains the elegance of previous models, very thin, with a size that suits everyone, but with greater ergonomics. The way it sits on the wrist, the lightness of the ensemble, the elegance of the curved surfaces make this model perhaps the most consensual of all so far.
For the guests who had the opportunity to try the watch here, the opinion was unanimous: surprising!

In 4 to 6 weeks, we will have the Lebond Attraction permanently displayed here at Watch Garage for everyone to come and see in person.
See you soon
