Unfiltered opinion:
Zenith's history is characterized by a pioneering spirit and the highest art of watchmaking. The Swiss manufacturer made history back in 1969 when it introduced the world's first automatic chronograph movement, the El Primero. The exceptional quality of this caliber not only convinced Zenith itself, but also renowned brands such as Rolex, which used it in its legendary Daytona from 1988 to 2000.
The Zenith El Primero Defy 21 continues this legacy in an impressive way. This Ultraviolet in particular combines traditional watchmaking craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology and luxurious materials. Its 44 mm case in titanium frames a skeletonized dial that provides a glimpse of the fascinating mechanics. The open case back allows a view of the heart of the chronograph: the innovative El Primero 9004 caliber, which works with two independent escapements - one for the time display with 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz) and a second for the chronograph, which reaches a breathtaking 360,000 vibrations per hour (50 Hz). This enables the watch to measure time precisely to a hundredth of a second.
The combination of fine materials, innovative technology and striking design makes this watch a statement on the wrist.
This full set is in mint condition and includes the original Zenith watch box with outer box, the operating instructions, the Quick Step Guide with warranty card and chronometer certificate.
