Our opinion:

The “dirty dozen” are probably the most well known military watches.

The Dirty Dozen is the nickname given to a group of watches that were commissioned by the British Military during WW2. There was a specific list of requirements namely, black luminous dials, waterproof cases and high quality manually wound movements.
12 watch companies met these requirements and sent their watches to Britain in the second half of 1945.

The Longines Dirty Dozen has the biggest case size of any of the 12 watches at just under 38mm. Approximately 5000 pieces were made making it one of the more rare watches in the set.

This particular example is probably the best condition one available anywhere in the world. Untouched case, dial and hands and a movement that looks like it was built this year! This is really a true collectors piece given the amazing condition it’s in. Not only an historically important piece but also a beautiful piece you can wear with its perfect 37.5mm size. Fitted with a reproduction of an original strap
