Unfiltered opinion:

Enicar chronographs are already on a very high collectible level. Superbly well build, very original designs, very high quality and historically important.
The connection between Enicar and well known personalities from the past is very well documented as with the connection with motorsports.

In my opinion one of the most important brands from middle last century and with a fabulous heritage.

This Aqua Graph chronograph it’s a highly sought after and rare chronograph on its own, but what we have on offer is on a different level. Unicorn level!
A blue dial Aqua Graph is the stuff of legends, some people have seen one, some people heard of it’s existence but to actually have one and offer it for sale is something that happens once every decade, if you’re lucky! I only ever saw pictures of one more.

This is an MK IV version, which was launched in March 1968, the inside caseback on this one has 8-69 engraved so probably made in 1969.

Serial is very faded but we can read the reference 072-02-02A and serial number 1.317.xxx although last number is too faded to be sure.

Crosshatched crown, original bezel with some wear but still nice, red aluminum ring with small wear also but still good, bezel rotates well, movement is very clean and working well, caseback like stated above is a bit worn with some marks from someone that tried to open it incorrectly. Top left lug has a Portuguese import hallmark

Dial is very good, hands missing a little bit of lume.
Overall a very good piece I believe and the rareness level on this one is through the roof!!!

Maybe in another 10 years another one will surface.
