Our opinion:
Custom watches are always moving on dangerous grounds. They can work very well or they can be a disaster. Luckily for all the fans Bamford has got the hang of these and has been doing some amazing pieces with several brands.
For me, this Aquaracer is one of their best works.
The originality of the design, the use of materials and color and above all while keeping a reasonable price made this watch one of their best works.
The most original part of the watch is the dial design, one of the best I’ve ever seen from Bamford.
The mostly black dial uses small milled pieces of solid luminant material for the hour markers and orange-rimmed hands that match an orange “racing flag” periphery ring around the main dial. A cross-hair through the middle is retro-chic, and the striped end of the seconds hand adds a sense of adventure to the display. To create a sense of texture, the inner dial consists of small, intentional concentric circles that go out all the way to the seconds markers.
The fully matte titanium case and bracelet looks amazing and it’s the only Aquaracer that features this material.
