Unfiltered opinion:

Aquastar was founded circa 1962, and they were focused on watches meant to go in the water. The 63 was released in 1963 and was marketed towards real divers with its 200 meter/600 feet depth rating (though we do not recommend getting vintage watches wet today unless properly tested). This model was seen as one of the best divers you could find in the 1960s, thanks to its impressive water resistance and inner rotating bezel activated directly by the crown. The crown was also used to wind the watch, so if you wanted to both wind the watch and set the bezel, you would need to wind it first and then set.

Because of the desirability, these models were sold in specialized dive shops. Priced lower than Rolex and Tudor, the 63 became a bestseller and was known for its practicality. This specific example is gold plated with a stainless-steel caseback. It has a champagne-colored dial as well as gold colored hour markers and numbers on the internal rotating crown.

Surprisingly this watch although being gold plated still has a steel case underneath which is extremely rare, usually plated watches had brass cases.

More surprisingly is finding a watch from 1963 that never left the box, was never worn, comes with papers, certificates, hang tags, and is in pristine conditions!
This is truly a collectors item and something extremely difficult to come by again.
